They Loved the Torah: What Yeshua's First Followers Really Thought about the Law

Did Yeshua observe the law? Did Paul teach congregations to abandon the Torah? The answers you'll find in this book may surprise you!

Even though many Jews believe that Paul taught against the Law, this book disproves that notion. Most Christians are disconnected from the Torah; reading this book will reconnect them.

Dr. Friedman makes an excellent case for his premise that all the first followers of Messiah were not only Torah-observant, but also desired to spread their love for God's entire Word to the Gentiles to whom they preached.

Author: Unknown
I was very delighted to discover there was hope for someone looking for literature that isn't doctrinally corrupt who is both an orthodox Jew and believes in the offering of Yeshua the Messiah of Israel. They Loved the Torah is a masterpiece of scholarly work indeed. The truth is out there if one is so inclined to look or seek. David Friedman presents a case that cannot be disputed. The text of the Scriptures speak for themselves.

They Loved the Torah first calls upon the life of Yeshua and His observance of the writings of Mosheh. Friedman presents that had not Yeshua been Torah observant, He would be sinful and thus our offering is in vain. Honoring Shabbat, being obedient to His mother and father, and observing the Passover, They Loved the Torah demonstrates that Yeshua¹s life indeed beat to the drum of Torah. Christians agree that "Jesus" was torah observant but His followers were not obligated to this lifestyle.

David also takes a long hard look into the lives of those in Yeshua's yeshiva. Rabbi Sha'ul, Yohanan, Kepha and others surrendered there lives to the Torah as well. David writes of how Sha¹ul took vows and considered himself a Pharisee among Pharisees. David suggests those who insist that Torah is no longer to be obeyed that they need to take a serious look at the lives of those who followed Yeshua.

David also dispels common objections to a Torah observant lifestyle for believers inYeshua. He points out that things were added to Torah in Yeshua¹s time that Yeshua told the Pharisees nullified the word of Eloah'. It is important to look into the historical and cultural variance of the time in which the authors of the text wrote. I was very pleased at the in depth work and complex reporting that David has done. This book is a must have for anyone looking for the truth! I do not have anything negative to say about this work, only I wish it was longer. So I will be eagerly waiting for David's next work.
