Dolores (our proofreader) told me about the book "The PH Miracle: Balance Your Diet, Reclaim Your Health." I ordered the book and my daughter ordered the "The PH Miracle for Weight Loss" and began the diet while I was still reading about it. She lost 20 lbs in 21 days.
I began the diet January 10 and have lost 8 lbs in 8 days!
Dolores is not overweight. Her main interest in this diet is health. I was interested because I have to have surgery next month and I'm worried about being in the hospital with all the sickness. When you body is alkaline balanced you can easily fight off flues and colds and recovery quicker from surgery.
I've dieted for many years and this is the easiest one I have ever been on. The food is wonderful and you eat as much as you want.
I was first impressed because it is Biblical-- no unclean meats are included. It just makes sense that we were not meat to have a diet consisting of fFroot Loops, Hambugers, fires and fried chicken (no wonder Americas are so sick).
Secondly, I was impressed by the logic. Just as our body sweats to keep a balanced 98.6 it will do things to keep a alkaline/acid balance. If we eat too much acid (which all American's do) our body will do things like take calcium from our bones to balance it. When our body's are in danger from too much acid our body hangs on to every oz of fat to protect internal organs.
Thirdly, I was impressed with the food choices. I love salads and wraps- this is a huge part of the diet.
In a nut shell this the diet
1. Super hydrate- drink 1 gallon of Alkaline water daily. (Distilled water with ph drops added or baking soda). Add lime or lemon juice to water.
2. Drink super greens daily (or take capsules).
3. Strive to eat 70-80% of food intake to be vegetables.
4. 50% of vegetables are raw (salads and wraps).
5. Take supplements (vitamins, minerals, probiotics)
6. Eat fish (like salmon) over beef and chicken.
7. Use olive oil instead of vegetable oils.
