This Multilevel (grades 4-12), Bible-Focused, Heart of Wisdom Unit Study utilizes the Charlotte Mason approach, and the Internet!

Many Christians fail to realize that the events of Genesis are literal, are historical (particularly Genesis 1-11), and are foundational to all Christian doctrine. All Biblical doctrines of theology, directly or indirectly, ultimately have their basis in the book of Genesis. Therefore, a believing understanding of the book of Genesis is a prerequisite to an understanding of God and His meaning to man. If Genesis is only myth or allegory, then Christian doctrines have no foundation. Many Christians have added evolution to the Bible, resulting in a position that accepts God as Creator but restricts Him to the process of evolution. This position is destructive to Christianity for many reasons.1 Because evolution is the new taproot of our education system. Many think that evolution has to do only with scientific endeavors, but this is not so. Evolution permeates history, law, art, music, and sadly theology. The main principle of evolution is that man is capable of improving himself, of moving upward, of continuously progressing to higher and higher levels of achievement. The evolutionist says that there are no absolutes, no laws, no rules, no roles, no standards of conduct. 2 Henry Morris said, “Evolution is the root of atheism, of communism, nazism, behaviorism, racism, economic imperialism, militarism, libertinism, anarchism, and all manner of anti-Christian systems of belief and practice.”

"This is much more than a study of Creation --This is a study of Christianity versus humanism"

The only "weakness" (and what a weird one- not really a weakness at all) is that it IS, really, so fabulous that you could take forever before moving on. Creation was supposed to take about 4 weeks. We took 2 1/2 months appx. We LOVED it, and so delved off into many areas. We also read every resource, instead of picking only one or two. I wanted them to KNOW why and what for, in their memory, for good. So they could have these facts as second nature. Worked well. They can.
It's strengths are first and foremost- it is a currciculum that is totally Bible based from a Hebrew standpoint, not a European/ American one(VERY important to our family). The Word is first and foremost in all things. From there you branch out and cover things. BUT only in light of (pun intended) His Word. There is truly no comparison. I could go on and on about HOW, we (me, my husband, and kids)really love it that much. Once you try it you will probably never go back. Nothing else will do as much, in such a way, in a Hebraic Bible frame of mind.

HOW's Creation Unit Study was most definitely the best study we have ever done on this topic, and we have done many. Our oldest son, Joshua, the one at Ol' Miss, has used many of the links for use in his Bible study on creation science that he leads. He is our family "expert" on creation science. He's read nearly everything there is to read on Creation Science, and was really pleased with the quality of this study.

We have studied Creation and ancient history, but never like this before. I love how Robin has integrated God's people into ancient history. We have studied Egypt, The Greeks, Mesopotamia, etc but I was always left wondering where God's people were at and what they were doing during this time period. The curriculums we used gave us Biblical events and dates so we could see how the Bible lined up, but not really fitting it in with such detail. Now it's like we are studying with new eyes! I think Robin has done a wonderful job.

We finished the Creation Unit and we will be starting Adam to Messiah this week. It looks very well written, and has many resources to choose from. We enjoyed the Creation Unit.(Evolution is a very confusing topic, I think Creation is actually easier to be

We have found that the science lessons take a varying amount of time to complete. My children are 10, 7 & 2, so I have to "water down" the lessons or explain things on their level. Some things are just way over their head, but we have loved every bit of it!

I am using the creation unit with my 11 yo, and though it is a wonderful study, I think it is best for the upper grades. What I HAVE found that is really great is that as I am going through the study along with my dear daughter, I am able to incorporate a lot of what I am learning into my general and day to day conversations with my 6 yo and 8 year old. As I didn't have a good grasp on creation science myself, I think it is very helpful for me as a base of knowledge when my younger children have questions... They are developing a love for God's creation.

HOW is the best bargain around. I have swept the internet looking for great curriculum for my children and I always come back to HOW. We using Creation this year. I am loving every minute of it, because the Lord is the central theme of all
    subjects!!!

Does it really matter what you believe about creation? Well, not only does it matter, it's also absolutely vital what we believe! I didn't realize how vital it was until I became enthralled in the words so expertly authored ...

"Creation: An Internet Linked Unit Study" will provoke you to dig deeper into one of God's most awesome acts, creation! There is no doubt; when you are finished reading this book you will not only know what you believe and why you believe it, you'll also be able to defend it! It is only then, with this confidence, that we should begin teaching our children about a loving God who created everything with a purpose.

Using this Ebook is easy and convenient. It also allowed more flexibility in our homeschool (and I can't lose it!). It is very reasonably priced at $15.00. The Internet links alone are worth the price! With the purchase of Creation: An Internet Linked Unit Study you will receive a password to access the Ebook and all the resources available for the unit....

We just started using HOW and we love it! We had been using Abeka before. As soon as we found HOW we scrapped Abeka and started HOW immediately. We are now beginning our 3rd week and it has been fantastic!

We started with the Creation Unit Study and are currently working on an online portfolio. My daughter is 8yo and does have some problems with the handwriting end of things. It's a lot of work compared to Abeka. We cut down on the writing end of things and she types in a lot of the work herself instead of writing.

So far we are looking into songs about creation, writing the story of creation in her own words, creating snacks that can be used to illustrate the story of creation for younger children, and planning a Rosh Hashanna dinner. Since my daughter has an interest in computers, we find a lot of our supplemental material online.

Some topics have been over my daughters head but we still discuss it. For example, we watched a Creation video from Moody. It has a vocabulary suitable for high school age students and above, but even so, my daughter understood what they were saying to us. We stopped the video from time to time and discussed any words she did not understand. Now she is using some of those words! I really do feel that, with some modifications, this unit study can be achieved with younger students.

You will definitely need to be more involved with your child's learning if you do this curriculum but.....you will learn together, it's hands on (which is exciting for a lot of kids), it's fun, and you will incorperate many real life skills. I feel like I am getting the Christian education I never got as a child while making sure my daughter gets one! And last, but certainly not least, it is truly a Christ centered education. What I thought was Christ centered before doesn't even compare.

We have loved it so far, though we are moving slowly through the material for greater retention of the truths. We have only been using the materials for 1 month. I believe HOW is an answer to prayer & it has been a great blessing to my family.

We are using Creation & Wisdom currently. We are only a few lessons into it & already my 14 yr. old is planning to put a Creation Science Club together [there isn't one in our area] in order to encourage/ teach others the truth of a literal, 6 day Creation & its foundational importance.

The units are teaching ME so much. The Wisdom unit has been very convicting & has led to many precious & invaluable discussions with my children.

I so appreciate the ease of use & the fact that HOW can be used in the way God leads a particular family using it. Because of this ability to flex to the family & be individualized, How keeps learning engaging & interesting rather than dry. Thank you Robin for all of the hard work you've put into HOW!
